The Northeast Generals are proud to announce that graduating forward Finn Connor has secured his collegiate commitment to play hockey at Suffolk and join the Rams Men’s Hockey program for the 2026-27 campaign.
The Hampton, NH native started his NAHL career as a rookie in 2024-25, where he played 54 games picking up 15 points (5g-10a). Connor, known for being one of the fastest players in the league, suited up for 45 more games this year, adding 14 points (7g-7a), but was held one game shy of the century mark due to a late-season injury.
“Finn Connor is an absolutely electric hockey player. He has road-runner speed. Just an absolute weapon for us in all phases of the game. When Finn played for our 16U Academy several years ago, you could see his potential. He had a great career at Proctor Academy and then came to us last year. He has put in a ton of work to better utilize his speed, changing speeds, and using chips to put himself in a better position on the rush. He has taken a huge step in the offensive zone, always taking pucks to the dangerous areas, taking and giving hits, but what I am so proud of with Finn is who he is as a person. Always a smile, always a kind word for a teammate. He’s just a great human who is loved by everyone who knows him. Going to Suffolk is a great fit for him. Coach McEachern played with a ton of speed in his days and loves the speed Finn will bring to a very good Suffolk team. Finn should step in on day one and be a big contributor in all phases of the game. A great human being that we can’t wait to see excel both on and off the ice at a great school like Suffolk,” said Head Coach and GM Bryan Erikson.
Connor is hopeful to return for the playoffs, where the Generals have clinched for the first time since 2024. He is one of 11 graduating players on the 2025-26 roster and is currently one of 11 players with post-secondary commitments
“I’m super excited to continue my academic and athletic journey at Suffolk. The Northeast Generals have helped me learn a lot and grow my game, where I’m ready for the next level. I couldn’t be happier that I got to call this place home and be a General for the past two seasons,” said Connor.
Connor will be sticking close to the Generals’ roots as Suffolk University is located in Boston, MA, with their games played at Steriti Memorial Rink, competing in NCAA DIV III
The Northeast Generals organization would like to congratulate Finn and his family on his accomplishment.
